The victory took India to their third-ever World Cup final, where they will face South Africa on November 2 in Navi Mumbai.

After winning the toss and batting first, Australia posted a commanding total. Beth Mooney scored a classy 104 off 118 balls, while Ellyse Perry added 78 off 66.

A late flourish from Ashleigh Gardner (52 off 40) helped push the total beyond 330. Despite occasional breakthroughs, India’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs.

Sciver-Brunt’s 148* came in the 2022 final, but Jemimah’s knock now stands as one of the most iconic chases ever by an Indian batter.

Her innings also marked the highest individual score by an Indian in a World Cup semi-final, surpassing Harmanpreet’s 171* against Australia in 2017.
